InterVarsity Press has signed James Bryan Smith, author of the bestselling The Good and Beautiful God, to a fifth book project. Scheduled for a spring 2013 release, Hidden in Christ draws on the rich themes of Colossians 3, unpacking the transforming principles of Christ's love.

InterVarsity Press Acquires Biblica Books
InterVarsity Press (IVP), a leading publisher of thoughtful Christian books, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Biblica Books, the book-publishing arm of Biblica Worldwide. In the acquisition, which is expected to close by the end of the calendar year, IVP will obtain 170 current and nearly 30 new Biblica Books titles. This includes Operation World, the definitive global prayer guide that's now in its seventh edition.
Richard J. Foster Lecture and Book Signing at Wheaton College
Bestselling author and Renovaré founder Richard J. Foster will be discussing his newest book, Sanctuary of the Soul: Journey into Meditative Prayer, with Wheaton College chaplain Dr. Stephen Kellough on Thursday, November 3, at 7 p.m. in the Todd M. Beamer Center. The event, which is open to the public, will include a time for Q&A and will be followed by an opportunity to purchase the book and have it signed by Foster.
InterVarsity Press Launches Nationwide Anti-Trafficking Tour
InterVarsity Press will launch a multicity tour in an effort to raise awareness about human trafficking in conjunction with the release of its new book God in a Brothel: An Undercover Journey into Sex Trafficking and Rescue. The tour will kick off October 21 in San Francisco and will include stops in Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C.

The Girl in the Orange Dress: Searching for a Father Who Does Not Fail (InterVarsity Press/Likewise) by Margot Starbuck won the Golden Scroll Award for Nonfiction Book of the Year from the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA). The Golden Scroll winners were announced at the AWSA's annual banquet held on Sunday, July 10, at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta.
