InterVarsity Press author Carolyn Weber was one of the featured authors at the Canadian Christian Booksellers Association retailer event Summer in Paris on August 6 at David C. Cook Distribution in Canada. CBA retailers from Canada had the opportunity to spend a summer day in Paris where they gained great ideas for engaging with the churches in their communities, were introduced to up-and-coming Christian worship leaders and engaged with Weber and Christian fiction author Sandra Orchard.

InterVarsity Press partnered with Hearts & Minds Books of Dallastown, PA, to host the launch event on May 16 for Michael Card's new book in the Biblical Imagination Series, Matthew: The Gospel of Identity, and the accompanying CD, Matthew: The Penultimate Question. Nearly two hundred people filled the Living Word Community Church in Red Lion, PA, to hear from "classy/casual acoustic musician (and smarty-pants author) Mr. Michael Card," as described by Hearts & Minds Books owner Byron Borger.

InterVarsity Press Realigns with Noble Marketing Group

InterVarsity Press will once again be partnering with the Noble Marketing Group to expand its reach to Christian retailers and academic bookstores. The Noble Marketing Group offers professional sales representation with ten field representatives and two regional account representatives throughout the United States.

Os Guinness, a prominent social critic and author of more than twenty-five books, will be releasing his second book with InterVarsity Press titled The Global Public Square: Religious Freedom and the Making of a World Safe for Diversity (September 2013). In this groundbreaking book Guinness answers questions surrounding the idea of maintaining personal freedom amidst the differences that arise in public life.

InterVarsity Press's Dictionary of the Old Testament: Prophets was recognized as a finalist in the 2013 ECPA Book Awards for Bible Reference. The publication of this volume last June completed the eight-volume IVP Bible Dictionary set. The comprehensive research of these dictionaries has made a significant contribution to evangelical scholarship, covering the entire biblical canon.
