Joel B. Green
Joel B. Green (BS, MTh, PhD) is professor of New Testament interpretation at Fuller Theological Seminary. He was vice president of academic affairs, provost, and professor of New Testament interpretation at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Prior to his appointment at Asbury in 1997, he was associate professor of New Testament at the American Baptist Seminary of the West/Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
His books include What about the Soul? Neuroscience and Christian Anthropology, Narrative Reading, Narrative Preaching: The Recovery of Narrative and Preaching the New Testament, Salvation, Introducing the New Testament: Its Literature and Theology (with Paul Achtemeier and Marianne Meye Thompson), Beginning with Jesus: Christ in Scripture, the Church and Discipleship, Recovering the Scandal of the Cross: Atonement in New Testament and Contemporary Contexts (with Mark Baker), Between Two Horizons: Spanning New Testament Studies and Systematic Theology (with Max Turner), and The Gospel of Luke in the New International Commentary on the New Testament.
For over twenty years, Green has been the editor of Catalyst, a journal providing evangelical resources and perspectives to United Methodist seminarians. An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, he has pastored churches in Texas, Scotland, and Northern California. He has also served on the boards of Berkeley Emergency Food and Housing Project, and RADIX magazine. -
James L. Papandrea
James L. Papandrea (PhD, Northwestern University) is a teacher, author, speaker, and musician. He is professor of church history and historical theology at Garrett-Evangelical Seminary at Northwestern University, as well as a consultant in the area of adult faith formation and a regular speaker in parish and lay formation programs in the Chicago area. He is the author of The Earliest Christologies, The Trinitarian Theology of Novatian of Rome, and Reading the Early Church Fathers. Also a published songwriter, professional musician, and teacher of songwriting, Papandrea has written and arranged music for church choirs and has written two musicals.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in music and theatre arts, Papandrea received his MDiv degree from Fuller Theological Seminary with a concentration in youth ministry, then spent several years in full time youth and music ministry. He went on to receive a PhD in the history and theology of the early Christian church from Northwestern University, with secondary concentrations in New Testament interpretation and the history of the Roman Empire. He has also studied Roman history at the American Academy in Rome, Italy. Papandrea is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, the North American Patristics Society, and the Catholic Association of Music.
When he's not teaching or performing music, he can be found traveling with his wife, Susie, taking photographs, and making pilgrimages to places like Rome and Assisi.

Gina Burkart
Dr. Gina Burkart is the Learning Specialist at Clarke University where she directs the Learning Center and teaches College Study Strategy and English courses. Prior to her work at Clarke, she worked as an Assistant Professor of English at Saginaw Valley State University and as the coordinator of the Reading and Learning Center at the University of Northern Iowa, where she also taught English courses for over 11 years. Her research focuses on first-year students, post-secondary literacy, and retention. She is the author of A Parent’s Guide to Harry Potter (2005), Finding Purpose in Narnia: A Journey with Prince Caspian (2008, Paulist Press), and Finding Meaning in Narnia: A Voyage on the Dawn Treader (2010, Nimble Books), and 16 Weeks to College Success (2014, Kendall Hunt Publishing). She has been interviewed nationally and frequently presents about using literature such as Harry Potter and Narnia to nurture Christian values and to foster inter-generational connections. She is featured on About.com for her work with Harry Potter and Christian Teens. She is also a frequent writer for Crosswalk.com.
