Colin Chapman worked for many years in different posts in Egypt, Lebanon, and Cyprus and taught at Trinity College, Bristol, and Crowther Hall, Selly Oak. In his last post before semi-retirement, he was lecturer in Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut. His books include Whose Promised Land? and Islam and the West.
