    Friesen (M.A., Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary) was for nine years director of men's and family ministry at Grace Chapel in Lexington, Massachusetts. Currently he is president and founder of Home Improvement Ministries, an organization devoted to equipping and encouraging local churches, families, couples and individuals to experience hope and joy as they live according to God's relational design.     Denise Muir Kjesbo is director of children's and family ministry at Bethel University. She has taught at North American Baptist Seminary at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, North American Baptist College in Edmonton, Alberta and Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. Kjesbo has been involved in children's and family ministry from small church plants to large established churches. She has been a workshop presenter for two curriculum publishing companies, trabeling throughout the United States and Canada to train and equip those serving in children's and family ministry.     Hoekema emigrated from the Netherlands to the United States in 1923. He attended Calvin College (A.B.), the University of Michigan (M.A.), Calvin Theological Seminary (Th.B.) and Princeton Theological Seminary (Th.D., 1953). After serving as minister of several Christian Reformed churches (1944-56) he became associate professor of Bible at Calvin College and later professor of systematic theology at Calvin Theological Seminary. He wrote The Four Major Cults (1963), What about Tongue-Speaking? (1966), Holy Spirit Baptism (1972), The Christian Looks at Himself (1975) and The Bible and the Future (1979).

At the end of 2005 he stepped from that role due to the challenges of a chronic lung disease.
