Wesley P. Walters was a renowned cult expert, lecturing at several evangelical seminaries. He also gave direction to and helped shape the ministry of Personal Freedom Outreach during its infancy. Until his death in 1990 he pastored Marissa Presbyterian Church in Marissa, Illinois.
