Hear Scripture Speak to Your Life and Your World

In The Power of Scripture, renowned Bible teacher John Stott invites individuals and small groups to the practice of "double listening"—listening to Scripture and listening to the world. In doing so, you will learn how to engage God's Word in a way that is relevant to your own life and the lives of those around you.

Walking through key passages from both Old and New Testaments, this eight-session LifeGuide® Bible study explores the power, authority, and trustworthiness of God's Word for faith and practice. Whether you are leading a Sunday morning class, a weeknight small group, or working through Scripture on your own, The Power of Scripture will help you trust the Bible more deeply and live it more faithfully.

LifeGuide® Bible studies feature:

  • A guide to getting the most out of the study, including suggestions for how to participate in individual or group study;
  • Leader's notes for preparation and leading a group through the study;
  • "Now or Later" section following each session to help you act on what you learn; and
