Ruth Goring is a poet, an author, and an artist. Ruth has a passion for spiritual formation for children, using age-appropriate images and language to illustrate the love of God and practices that form their hearts to follow him and trust him more. She is also the author of Adriana's Angels and Picturing God.

Ruth grew up in a large, lively missionary family in Colombia, and in recent years she has provided accompaniment and advocacy to human rights defenders in that country. A former longtime editor at InterVarsity Press, she previously edited books at the University of Chicago Press and taught in the Graham School's editing certificate program. Her other books include Date Rape, Environmental Stewardship, Meeting God in Quiet, Meeting God in Relationships, Singleness, and two books of poetry, Soap Is Political and Yellow Doors.
