As part of our service to you as an IVP author, we aggressively seek to sell both English language rights for countries outside of North America and translations rights for our books to other Christian publishers globally. We often do not know until a book’s U.S. publication ("in-stock") date whether or not we will be able to sell our edition globally.

Additionally, we have in place exclusive distribution agreements with companies in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom that we are required to honor.

As a result, promoting your own book at any speaking events you do outside of the United States—especially, those that are done in advance of the book’s publication—needs to be carefully coordinated through our international sales team. If you are planning to promote your book to your networks outside of the United States through speaking or other author marketing initiatives, please contact us and we will walk you through the process.

Other ways you can help us promote your book internationally include:

  • Let your editor know if you have published books that have been translated by other publishers. If you are able to send us contact information for the publishers who have translated your book, we can contact them to inform them about your new book.
  • Let your editor know if you are speaking internationally. If we know about an international speaking event well ahead of time, we can promote your book to publishers in that area of the world.
  • Refer anyone who asks about translating your book to our rights department. Also, if someone mentions a translation you are not aware of, let us know and we can make sure it is legitimate.
  • Let your editor know if you are involved in any ministries or projects with international offices that would be interested in a translated edition of your book.

When we sign an agreement for a new translation or other subrights edition, we will notify you by email. We will also send you one or more copies of any translated or other subrights editions after we receive them.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or recommendations concerning your book.
