He also serves as the editor of the peer-reviewed &lt;em&gt;Journal of Biblical Integration in Business&lt;/em&gt; for the Christian Business Faculty Association. In 2013 he received the Sharon G. Johnson Award from the Christian Business Faculty Association in national recognition of his efforts toward integrating faith and business in his scholarship. Prior to his work in higher education, Cafferky worked for twenty years in the healthcare industry at various levels of leadership including front-line supervisor, department manager, director of business development, CFO, COO, and CEO. He is a member of the Academy of Management and the Christian Business Faculty Association and was a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives for ten years. He also served as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Program of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Cafferky is the author of eight books including &lt;em&gt;Management: A Faith-based Perspective, Breakeven Analysis&lt;/em&gt; (coauthored with Jon Wentworth), and &lt;em&gt;Scriptural Foundations for Management&lt;/em&gt;. He has published articles in the &lt;em&gt;Journal of Biblical Integration in Business&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Faith in Business Quarterly&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Christian Business Academy Review&lt;/em&gt;, the &lt;em&gt;Journal of Applied Christian Leadership,&lt;/em&gt; and the &lt;em&gt;Journal of Religion and Business Ethics&lt;/em&gt;. &lt;p&gt;Cannon holds an MDiv from North Park Theological Seminary, an MBA from North Park University&amp;rsquo;s School of Business and Nonprofit Management, and an MA in bioethics from Trinity International University. She received her first doctorate in American history with a minor in Middle Eastern studies at the University of California (Davis) and her second doctorate in ministry in spiritual formation from Northern Theological Seminary. He received a BS (University of Redlands), MS and PhD (University of Minnesota) in physics, and an MA (Fuller Theological Seminary) in biblical studies and theology.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;His physics research interests are in experimental nuclear physics, and he has done postdoctoral research at UCLA. While teaching at the University of Redlands he has continued his nuclear research at UCLA, the University of Manitoba, University of California Davis, and currently at Uppsala University. Carlson has published more than fifty articles in physics research journals.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Recently his interests have shifted to the area of science and Christian faith, and between 1995 and 2005 he taught a number of science and theology courses at the University of Redlands and Fuller Theological Seminary. His courses at Redlands and Fuller have resulted in two Templeton Foundation prizes.
