Biography

Rebecca Merrill Groothuis (pronunciation: grote-hice) is a freelance writer and editor. She is the author of Good News for Women and Women Caught in the Conflict (a 1995 Christianity Today award winner). She contributed three chapters to Christianity That Counts: Being a Christian in a NonChristian World (by Douglas Groothuis). She is also an editor and contributor for Discovering Biblical Equality, available from InterVarsity Press.

Groothuis earned a B.S. in psychology from Arizona State University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She has lectured at Denver Seminary, at Fuller Seminary and at a national meeting of the Evangelical Press Association. She is on the Christians for Biblical Equality Board of Reference.

Her articles and reviews have been published in Christian Scholar’s Review, Christian Ethics Today, Eternity, Prism, Christianity Today, Perspectives, The Rocky Mountain News, ReGeneration Quarterly, Christian Counseling Today, The Denver Post and Priscilla Papers.
