About the Series

The Groups Investigating God series was created out of the conviction that your spiritual journey is unique and that your questions are important.

These study guides will be helpful to you if you have spiritual and life questions that you want to be able to ask, discuss and explore without fear of judgment or intimidation. They are for you whether you consider yourself a skeptic or a seeker, religious or nonreligious.

Four study guides are available now (see listing below), and each study guide offers six sessions. Each session is oriented around a question that seekers and skeptics have often asked. An introduction opens up ways different people might respond to the question. "Going Deeper" helps you uncover the fears, hopes and motivations underlying the question. "User's Guide" orients you to the Bible's wisdom on the question, and "The Oracle" offers a Bible passage that specifically addresses it. "Musing" provides conversation-starting questions for your group based on the main question and the Bible wisdom. "Challenge" summarizes the wisdom in the Bible and suggests what choices you might face. "God Moment" describes how someone has found freedom, healing or growth in dealing with this life question. "Self-Reflection" gives you a chance to reflect on and perhaps journal or even pray about your own experiences, decisions and goals. At the end of each guide are session-by-session notes and resources for further investigation.

The Groups Investigating God series helps you to think for yourself and with others--exploring the spiritual and life questions that you may have been afraid to ask before.

The guide Following God is being replaced with the guide Following After God. The content of the two guides is the same; only the title is different! (When you order the set of 4 titles, you will receive Following After God and not Following God.)
