Smith is lecturer in urban mission and world Christianity at the International Christian College in Glasgow, Scotland. Formerly, he was codirector of the Whitefield Institute in Oxford, England, and principal of Northumbria Bible College in Northumbria, Scotland. He has written Mission After Christendom (DLT), Crying in the Wilderness (Paternoster) and Transforming the World? (Paternoster).
