Micah 7: How Long Will God Be Angry?
CDS ARE ABLE to store an amazing amount of information—from music to videos to entire encyclopedias. Imagine that someone had a complete CD of your life, so complete that they could even access your thoughts and actions with the touch of a button. What would someone find on your CD? What would you like to erase? The truth is that someone has all of that information aboutyou—God.
Warming Up to God
Reflect on what a CD of your life would be like—the type of music and the content. What brings you joy and what concerns you as you think of your life in this way?

Discovering the Word
- How do verses 1 and 7 frame 2-6?
- As Jerusalem speaks in verses 8-10, do you think she describes her situation correctly?
- Do you think Micah agrees with Jerusalem's self-assessment (vv. 8-10) as he speaks of the day to come (vv. 11-17)?
- The book ends with a powerful description of God. What character traits do you see?
Applying the Word
- In verses 1-6 Micah describes a society falling apart, yet in the midst of the chaos he is able to hope in God. How can you help others to the same?
- In Jerusalem's confession (v. 9) she is willing to bear the consequences of her guilt. How do you feel about your guilt?
- How can you make verses 18-20 a part of your life and the lives of others?
