Ben Lowe

Ben Lowe is a dedicated activist and organizer who serves on the leadership boards of numerous nonprofit organizations such as A Rocha, Christians for Social Action, Au Sable Institute of Environtmental Studies, and Young Evangelicals for Climate Action, which he cofounded. He is also a sought-after speaker, having spoken to many faith communities about environmental issues and engagement, as well as with academic and environmental groups about faith outreach and collaboration.

Ben was raised as a missionary kid in Southeast Asia and now lives as part of an intentional community in a refugee and immigrant neighborhood outside Chicago, Illinois, where he ran for US Congress in 2010. The author of Green Revolution, he is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and PhD candidate in interdisciplinary ecology at the University of Florida.
